Assistant Lecturer in the Faculty of Physical Activity and Sport Science

THE ROLE

We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Lecturer in the Faculty of Physical Activity and Sport Science with a passion for teaching.  

The role holder will be responsible for:

• Delivery of the bachelor curriculum in Physical Activity and Sport Science.

• Design and development teaching materials.

• Advise, direct, and mentor bachelor students.

• Contributing to the research activities of the University. 

• Collaboration with faculty and staff to maintain a respectful and positive learning environment.

THE CANDIDATE

The successful candidate should possess the following combination of skills and experience:

• Hold a degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences (ideally in the field of Physical Education, Sport and Exercise Science).

• Hold a PhD in a relevant field. 

• Evidence of high quality research projects - particularly participation in Erasmus+ projects. 

• Experience of supervising and teaching students in an educational environment (1-3 years).

• Experience working or interacting with students, staff from diverse backgrounds in multicultural environment.

• Fluency in English - reading, writing and speaking - level C1 and ability to teach in English. 

• Fluency in Spanish - reading, writing and speaking - level B2.

• Excellent communication, presentation and team working skills.

• Identification with mission and vision of UCAM.
